Parthiban breaks silence on 'No Caste, No Religion' certification decision; “I seek a community that transcends identity,” he says.

Actor and director R. Parthiban received strong support from the court in his efforts to be officially recognized as a person without caste or religion. The court ordered the competent authority to issue the certificate before April 29.

Parthiban’s unusual decision shows his long-standing belief in a society free of caste and religion, and awakened people’s souls on issues of identity, caste and social change.

Parthiban explains his position in honest words

Speaking to the media, Parthiban openly shared his thoughts. As quoted by The Hindu, he said: “This is a very happy moment. I don’t have any strong attachment to caste or religion. Some people may have strong feelings about it, but I don’t.”

He also talked about a recent incident that made him think deeply. “A word I said accidentally at an event hurt a lot of people. That moment made me emotional, hence the clarity. I felt I should get a certificate stating that I do not belong to any caste or religion.

His heartfelt words have connected with many people online.

Parthiban steps towards a new society

Parthiban further clarified that this decision is not for personal gain but for a greater purpose. He said: “I see this as an important step towards creating a new society without sect or religion.”

He also wondered why this process was so difficult. “If the common man wants this testimony, why would he go to court? It should be easier.” He added that he does not believe in using the benefits associated with caste identity and prefers growth through hard work.

His statement highlights his vision for a more equal society.

Parthiban’s vision of the future sparks controversy

The actor also spoke about how social class still plays a role in elections and public systems. “Today, everything from candidates to opinion polls is based on caste,” he said. “But I envision a future without caste.” Parthiban believes that people should not dwell in the past and should move forward. His courageous stance has sparked discussions about whether this is possible and how we can achieve it.
