“If any of these directors think I deserve to be in their films, they can approach me. But most importantly, they should find something suitable for me, which I should also feel good about. I want to do an action film.”
“RRR, Baahubali has shown how great cinema can be.”
Reflecting on how storytelling has evolved, Akshay pointed to films like RRR and Baahubali, praising director SS Rajamouli for pushing boundaries.“RRR, even Baahubali for that matter, had a completely different kind of industry.
It was larger than life, with a single man controlling ten elephants, and the director focusing on the man’s forearms. This is the director’s conviction, and it was done beautifully. Well-made films.“They showed us a different side of filmmaking – how great and larger than life it can be.”
“Animal re-erased Angry Young Man – ten times more powerful.”
Akshay also spoke about the animal influence and…
Kabir Singh
Vanga is credited with redefining on-screen anger.“Then came Animal with Ranbir Kapoor and Bobby Deol. I can never forget Bobby Deol’s character.
In animals, anger went beyond the limit.“The film brought back the entire ‘Angry Young Man’ era – with 10 times more intensity than what Amitabh Bachchan brought back then; that was limited, Animal was not. Sandeep Reddy Vanga brought it back in a completely different way.”“It was a new cinema and a new way of looking at a hero. People saw that he was also a hero who not only bites, but could stab ten times. It’s the same with Kabir Singh, he is the angriest lover.”
