Vijay Deverakonda has condemned the leak of Vijay and Pooja Hegde’s film ‘Jana Nayagan’. In a social media post, the actor joined a host of stars, expressing their anger over the incident and extending support to the film’s team.In a tweet, Deverakonda criticized the leak, saying: “#JanaNayagan leak makes me angry.” Recalling a similar experience, he said, “I personally experienced the pain and sense of loss when something like this happens, early in my career. You feel like a target, you feel lost. It’s not just about me. There are co-actors, directors, producers, and many more who have all their dreams at stake.”

Calling for immediate action, the actor added: “This current problem needs to be solved as quickly as possible and the people behind it identified. If this does not happen, this reflects a systemic failure.”

The leak of ‘Jana Nayagan’ saw several clips, including the introductory scene of the lead actor and the title card, as well as a 5-minute video circulating online in HD format, ahead of its theatrical release.
Production company KVN Productions confirmed the leak in an official statement, revealing that parts of the film were accessed, copied and distributed illegally by unknown individuals. The leak has since sparked outrage across the film industry. Director AR Murugadoss also commented on the controversy, saying, “When a film gets leaked, it’s not just a film – it’s dreams, sweat and livelihood. Please support films the right way – only in theaters and official platforms.”Several prominent names from across the industry, including Rajinikanth, Kamal Haasan, Suriya and Chiranjeevi, also condemned the leak and called for stricter action.
Rajinikanth reacts to infusion
In a tweet he posted in Tamil about the unfortunate incident, Rajinikanth said that he felt pain and shock when he learned that “Jana Nayagan” was leaked online. The star urged movie companies to raise their voices against this crime and appealed to the government to find out the perpetrators and punish them severely.
He said that such crimes should not be repeated.
