The Indian Embassy in Iran has issued a warning to its nationals in Iran to stay indoors and avoid military installations or multi-storey buildings for the next 48 hours amid escalation in US-Israeli attacks on Tuesday.

This warning comes even as US and Israeli attacks on Iran targeted roads, railway bridges and residential buildings in the country, with the exception of Kharg Island, the main oil hub.
“In continuation of previous warnings, Indian nationals still in Iran should shelter in place for the next 48 hours, avoid all electrical and military installations and upper floors of multi-storey buildings, remain indoors, and strictly coordinate any movement on the highway with the embassy,” the embassy’s advisory said.
It also urged those living in hotels rented by the embassy to remain at home while maintaining regular contact with the embassy teams on site. “Everyone is requested to closely monitor official updates,” she added.
US President Donald Trump has warned that “an entire civilization will die tonight” if Iran does not meet his 8pm ET (5:30am India time, Wednesday) deadline to end its blockade of the Strait of Hormuz.
The Ministry of External Affairs has also issued an advisory warning to Indian citizens in the war-torn country to “stay where they are, shelter in place and avoid further movements.”
The Indian government advised its citizens to avoid any movement within the country or border crossings, except in close coordination with the Indian Embassy in Tehran and under explicit guidance from the embassy.
