The new notification was issued after CBSE earlier postponed the board exams for classes 10 and 12 in its schools in the Middle East amid the ongoing conflict in the region.

List of countries where CBSE has postponed exams:

  • United Arab Emirates (Dubai and Abu Dhabi)
  • Bahrain
  • Iran (Tehran)
  • Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (Riyadh)
  • Kuwait
  • Oman (Muscat)
  • Qatar

The postponement of the exams comes amid escalating tensions in the Middle East, against the backdrop of the joint American-Israeli strikes on Iran, and the counter-attacks that targeted American bases and embassies in several Middle Eastern countries, including Saudi Arabia and Bahrain.

Latest developments in the war

Since then, the war has spread as far away as the Sri Lankan coast, where a US submarine torpedoed an Iranian warship, and Azerbaijan, which threatened retaliation after a drone struck an airport.

Azerbaijan warned that the attack “will not go unanswered” and said it was “preparing for the necessary retaliatory measures,” raising fears that another country could enter the fray.

The official Iranian Islamic Republic News Agency (IRNA) said that 1,045 military personnel and civilians had been killed since the start of the war, a number that Hizb ut-Tahrir has not independently verified.

Iranian media reported on Thursday that a sports complex, a football stadium, a municipal building and storefronts across Tehran were damaged in the Israeli and US strikes on the city.
