West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose has resigned from office after 3-and-a-half years in office, PTI reported, citing a Lok Bhavan official. He was in the national capital, Delhi, when he resigned.

Boss confirmed his resignation to the news agency that he had “spent enough time in the governor’s office.”
The resignation comes just weeks before West Bengal heads to the Assembly elections, with the ruling Trinamool Congress (TMC) looking to secure a fourth consecutive term and the opposition Bharatiya Janata Party looking to oust Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee.
Banerjee, who had a confrontational relationship with Bose, responded to his resignation by pointing out that she knew who would replace him as the state’s constitutional president.
“I have learned from Union Home Minister Amit Shah that RN Ravi will replace CV Ananda Bose as Governor of Bengal,” she said.
Ravi is currently the Governor of Tamil Nadu and had a similar frosty relationship with CM MK Stalin as Bose had with Banerjee. It is worth noting that Tamil Nadu is also headed to the polls around the same time as West Bengal.
