Comedian and actor Kathryn O’Hara, who died Jan. 30, suffered from rectal cancer, the Los Angeles County Medical Examiner’s Office disclosed Monday in her death certificate. The coroner’s office said he suffered a pulmonary embolism, caused by underlying rectal cancer, which led to death.

According to Johns Hopkins Medicine, a pulmonary embolism is a condition when a blood clot travels through the bloodstream to another part of the body and suddenly blocks an artery in the lungs, cutting off blood flow.
The death certificate shows that Catherine O’Hara’s body was handed over to her husband Bo Welch and cremated.
