Watch: Iranian missiles hit the headquarters of the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain

Iranian media reported missile strikes in Bahrain, in response to the American aggression. The missiles made an impact, with smoke seen above the US Navy’s 5th Fleet headquarters in Manama, as Tehran responded to US strikes on Iranian soil.An air raid warning was issued in Bahrain, with residents urged to “remain calm and head to the nearest safe place.”

Unidentified flying objects were reported in the skies of Bahrain when Iran launched attacks targeting the headquarters of the US 5th Fleet.The Iranian military said drone strikes targeted the US Fifth Fleet in Bahrain, including what it described as communications antennas and radar facilities linked to the Patriot air defense system.

The report stated that the operation was carried out following US violations of the ceasefire and strikes on southern Iran. She added that Iranian forces used “various explosive drones” in the attack.

The statement said that the armed forces remain on alert alongside other branches of the army and will continue operations until “the aggressor is punished.”According to Iranian state media, the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps claimed that its naval forces used Shahed-136 one-way attack drones in the operation, which was conducted at approximately 2:30 a.m. local time.

The Fifth Fleet is a numbered fleet of the US Navy responsible for an area of ​​about 2.5 million square miles (6.5 million square km), including the Persian Gulf, Red Sea, Arabian Sea, and parts of the Indian Ocean. It shares command and headquarters with the US Naval Forces Central Command in Bahrain. Its area of ​​responsibility includes the Strait of Hormuz, through which a large portion of global seaborne oil trade passes daily.

The fleet also oversees Task Force 59, the Navy’s artificial intelligence-enabled unmanned warfare unit.There was no immediate confirmation of casualties or damage resulting from the raids.
