A gunman opened fire at a school in Hat Yai, southern Thailand on Tuesday afternoon, wounding several teachers and students, authorities said.

The 18-year-old entered the Patongprathankiriwat school in Hat Yai, Songkhla province on Wednesday with a gun.
“The culprit has been apprehended,” Deputy Superintendent Wichian Sobun said, according to a Reuters report.
At least three people were injured.
