The American-Iranian war: “Several” American warplanes crashed in Kuwait, and their crew survived

The Kuwaiti Ministry of Defense announced that several American military aircraft crashed in Kuwait early Monday morning, but all crew members survived and are in stable condition. The ministry said in a statement carried by the Kuwait News Agency that the crews were evacuated and transferred to the hospital, and that the response was carried out in coordination with the American forces.

The statement did not specify the number of participating aircraft, Reuters reported. In a separate incident, a witness told Reuters that smoke was seen rising from the vicinity of the US embassy complex in Kuwait City, with fire trucks and ambulances deployed in the area. There was no immediate response to requests for comment from the US Embassy in Kuwait or the US State Department regarding the embassy incident. The crashes came as Kuwait said it had intercepted enemy drones earlier on Monday, the third straight day of Iranian retaliatory strikes on neighboring Gulf states following US and Israeli attacks on Iran.

Iranian state media, citing the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps, said that Iranian armed forces struck an American plane that crashed in Kuwait. Multiple video clips circulating on social media, which were filmed in the Jahra area, showed a military plane falling from the sky, and a person was seen descending with a parachute in the same frame.
