His Highness Sheikh Dr. Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Sharjah, approved the employment of 330 Emirati citizens in the emirate’s municipalities, in a move aimed at enhancing the participation of the national workforce and improving public services. The initiative covers both university graduates and high school diploma holders, and is being developed as part of a broader effort to support Emirati graduates, enhance national competencies, and raise the efficiency of municipal operations in multiple cities. A large portion of the recruitment is focused on the Sharjah City Municipality, where 120 jobs have been allocated specifically for Emiratis with high school diplomas to support the field inspection sector.
The remaining 210 floors are distributed among the emirate’s municipalities, ensuring wider geographical coverage and operational support. Sharjah Municipality will get 94 jobs, followed by 27 jobs in Khor Fakkan, and 30 in Kalba. The additional allocations include 10 jobs in Dibba Al Hisn, 20 in Al Dhaid, 6 in Al Madam, 9 in Mleiha, 9 in Al Bataeh, and 5 in Al Hamriyah. The recruitment campaign aims to strengthen the capabilities of municipalities while providing job opportunities for Emiratis, in line with ongoing efforts to strengthen local governance and improve the quality of services provided to residents throughout the emirate.
