Donald Trump told reporters in the latest release The Epstein file exonerates him of any wrongdoing. On Friday, the Department of Justice released the largest batch of Jeffrey Epstein files ever, including more than three million pages of documents and thousands of videos and photos.

The US president also said he would likely sue the author Michael Wolff, alleged that he and Epstein were “conspiring” to “hurt” him politically.

“Wolf, who is a third-rate writer, was conspiring with Jeffrey Epstein to hurt me politically or otherwise, and it came through loud and clear,” Trump said. “So, we’ll probably sue Wolf.”

Trump’s name is mentioned several times in Epstein’s filesTrump is mentioned more than 3,000 times in files related to the Epstein case, The Hill reported. The allegations about Trump and Epstein were among several files on convicted sex offenders the DOJ released Friday that the FBI reportedly received as tips through its National Threat Operations Center.

Emails among DOJ employees revealed the tips were compiled as information on “Trump indictees” in August. The FBI contacted many, but not all, of the initial callers, portions of the document showed, adding that some tipsters did not leave their information.

Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanch said Sunday that some of the tips were anonymous and relied on second-hand information. He added that it’s “not something that can really be investigated.”

The newly released documents shed light on Epstein’s relationships with a number of prominent people, including Elon Musk, Bill Gates and Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick. The files appear to contain at least 4,500 documents referring to Trump, The New York Times reported.
