The Department of Justice (DOJ) recently released three million pages of files related to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Among them is apparently an email from Norwegian diplomat Terje Rode-Larsen containing a derogatory comment about Indians. The file suggests that Rød-Larsen made an offensive comment about Indians to Jeffrey Epstein after the former financier forwarded him an email from an Indian politician.

The politician was also a former ambassador to the United Nations.

Social media is outraged:The email sparked a massive backlash on social media. “This is so confusing,” wrote one person. Another tweeted, “They hate Indians, all of them.”

A look at the Jeffrey Epstein investigation:Jeffrey Epstein was a financier known for his international connections. In 2005, an investigation was launched against the minor accused after his family allegedly molested him at his home. In 2006, authorities charged him with multiple counts of unlawful sex with a minor, and the case was sent to a grand jury, which indicted him on a single count of solicitation of prostitution.
