President Donald Trump announced on Thursday (February 19, 2026) that the body’s nine members had agreed to pledge $7 billion to a Gaza relief package at the inaugural Peace Board meeting.

Kazakhstan, Azerbaijan, UAE, Morocco, Bahrain, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Uzbekistan and Kuwait are pledging, Trump said.

“But every dollar spent is an investment in stability and the hope of a new and harmonious (region),” Mr Trump thanked donors.

This amount, while significant, represents a fraction of the estimated $70 billion needed to rebuild the depleted Palestinian territory after two years of war.

Mr. Pledged US $10 billion for the Board of Peace. Trump announced, but did not specify what the money would be used for.

“The Peace Council is showing how to build a better future, starting right here in this room,” Mr. Trump said.
