Iranian Supreme Leader Mojtaba Khamenei pledged to continue supporting the resistance against the United States and Israel in a letter to Hezbollah leader Naeem Qassem, while also expressing his condolences on the death of his father, former Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei.In an official letter, Khamenei thanked Qassem for his sympathy after the “martyrdom” of Ali Khamenei in a US-Israeli airstrike in Tehran on February 28. He noted the “feelings of love and loyalty” expressed by Hezbollah fighters, adding that these feelings were conveyed “on their behalf,” reflecting commitment to the resistance movement.

Khamenei said that steadfastness in the face of “the worst enemies of the Islamic nation, that is, the United States and the Zionist entity,” was a distinctive feature of the late leader.
He added that the continuation of the resistance march, along with the sacrifices, proved “the authenticity of this approach.”Addressing Qassem, Khamenei said that he is leading Hezbollah at a “critical juncture in the history of the resistance,” expressing his confidence in “his wisdom, intelligence, and courage to thwart and crush the plans of the Zionist enemy and restore pride and prosperity to the Lebanese people.”
The message, which was reported by Iranian media including Fars News Agency, stressed Tehran’s support for regional resistance groups amid escalating tensions with the United States and Israel.Khamenei, who was appointed supreme leader by Iran’s Assembly of Experts on March 8, also praised Hezbollah’s leadership and fighters for their “fights, courage and sacrifices,” strengthening Iran’s long-standing alliance with the group.Separately, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps said it struck an Israel-linked container ship in the Persian Gulf using ballistic missiles as part of a new wave of attacks targeting US and Israeli interests. The Iranian Revolutionary Guard also warned companies it accused of engaging in “terrorist espionage,” mentioned the names of major American technology companies and urged evacuations around these sites.The force also claimed to have launched drone attacks on “important and strategic” telecommunications, telecommunications and industrial centers belonging to the Israeli army.In a parallel development, Iran executed two “armed terrorists” linked to the Mujahedeen-e-Khalq organization for their alleged involvement in operations in Tehran aimed at destabilizing the government.Meanwhile, Iranian Foreign Minister Seyed Abbas Araqchi denied reports that Iran fired a missile towards Türkiye, calling them “completely baseless.”
