A former police captain claimed the holster could be a key clue in the case because it’s not something a frequent gun carrier would use. According to former SWAT commander and police captain Josh Shearard, the holster is likely a “universal nylon style holster”.
“It looks like a very cheap, off-the-shelf holster that someone just stores their gun in. And it has a belt loop on the back that they thought they could throw,” Sheirard told CNN.
“Was it out of convenience?” He continued. “Certainly, the intention was not to conceal it. Was it to ensure that it was displayed to threaten when he entered that house? Or that he could gain quick access to that house? Or if someone saw him?”
Mustache and eyebrow detail under the scannerAs FBI Director Kash Patel released a photo of a possible suspect in the Nancy Guthrie disappearance, many small details were noticed that could prove critical to the investigation. While the revolver holster is another clue, the suspect’s alleged mustache also drew a lot of attention.

Former FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe spoke about the mustache that appeared to be visible behind the mask.
“If you look under his nose … you can see what appears to be a mustache under the mask,” McCabe told CNN. “So I think this person also has facial hair, at least to include a mustache, maybe more than that.”
Many people have claimed based on the mustache and supposed arched eyebrows that the suspect may be female, but the FBI has not released the gender.
