A black glove was found in some brush Wednesday during a search of the Catalina Foothills, the neighborhood surrounding Nancy Guthrie’s home in Arizona, the FBI confirmed to the New York Post. Surveillance footage released by the FBI may be the glove that the potential suspect was seen wearing.

(AFP)The FBI’s field office in Phoenix, Arizona, said on its social media page Wednesday that it was conducting an “extensive investigation” involving “numerous agents” in the Catalina Foothills neighborhood of Nancy Guthrie’s home. The New York Post reported that the gloves were found as part of an “extensive search.”
So far, the FBI has not confirmed whether the glove actually belongs to a person of interest in the kidnapping case. No statement has been released on the same.
Search more for Nancy GuthrieAccording to some reports, the search was likely based on a tip-off that the FBI received on the case. The Pima County Sheriff, Chris Nanos, previously confirmed that they had received more than 18,000 calls with credible information about Nancy Guthrie’s whereabouts. However, so far, the FBI has not provided further details about the investigation.

The FBI said: “This morning, numerous FBI agents conducted an extensive search along multiple roads in the Catalina Foothills area in connection with the Nancy Guthrie investigation.”
Earlier, TMZ reported receiving a note related to the kidnapping in which the sender demanded a bitcoin transfer in exchange for information on the suspect. So far, there is no activity on the account. “If they want the name of the person involved, I want 1 bitcoin in the following wallet,” it read. “Time is more than relevant.” The previous two ransom notes failed as no proof of life came from the senders.
So far, the FBI has not named any suspects in the case. The search for the 84-year-old continues for the 11th day since his abduction on January 31.
