Indian filmmaker Meera Nair attends an “after party” for a film at convicted sex trafficker Ghislaine Maxwell’s townhouse. The latest Epstein files released by the US Department of Justice.
Nair’s mother M.S New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdanione of the emails was cited as part of additional files in the investigation into millionaire sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. Placed in the public domain by the Justice Department on Friday (January 30, 2026).
“Leaved Ghislaine’s townhouse … after party for the film. Bill Clinton and Jeff Bezos were there … Jean Pigozzi, director Mira Noir … etc. The film received a lackluster response, although the women liked it more … Hilary Swank and Gere at a stupid party in Bloomingdale’s cheap sports department … very strange.
“The studio is gone for a month for a free party from the store and windows… Will be at Wall Street 2 tomorrow…. More to come. xoxo Peg,” American publicist Peggy Siegel wrote on Oct 21, 2009 at 5:37:02 am, via email to ‘jeevacation@gmail.com’.
Although the email does not mention the name of the film, it appears to be a 2009 film ‘Amelia’directed by Ms. Nair and based on the life of legendary American pilot Amelia Earhart, who disappeared over the Pacific Ocean in 1937 while attempting to circumnavigate the globe. It stars Hilary Swank and Richard Gere.

On Friday (January 30, 2026), the Justice Department released three million additional pages of Epstein files under the Epstein Files Transparency Act, which was signed into law by President Donald Trump on November 19, 2025.
Additional publications include more than 2,000 videos and 1,80,000 images. Combined with previous releases, this brings the total output released to around 3.5 million pages, the department said.
The newly released files are compiled from five primary sources, including the Florida and New York cases against Epstein, the New York cases against Maxwell, the New York cases investigating Epstein’s death, the Florida case investigating Epstein’s former butler, multiple FBI investigations, and the inspector general’s investigation into Epstein’s death.
