Jelly roll He has dominated the country rap scene, and owes his success in large part to his amazing wife, Bunny xo. The couple seemed more in love than ever, even as they faced real struggles together, but unfortunately, Jelly Roll filed for divorce from Bunny in May 2026. TMZ Reported the following month.
Sources told the outlet that the breakup was a mutual decision. It is unclear what exactly led to their split.
In a candid moment from 2025 on the “Human School” podcast, Gilly admitted that he cheated on Bunny, calling it “one of the worst moments” of his adult life.
Bunnie has also opened up about their journey. In August 2023, she shared a video on Instagram of them walking side by side, writing: “Me and this guy passed [sic] Some sh**. Most days we’re great, some days we’re off. But through [sic] He’s just the most consistent human being I’ve ever had. I never knew how to make healthy love in front of him. But I know [sic] One thing, I never want to know [sic] How to do it without him [sic]”.
She captioned the post, “Thank you for being Zaddy to all the Zaddies Mr. Rollskiiii 🤍✨”
Jelly Roll has been performing all over the country, including several award shows, and Bunnie has been his sidekick for many of those shows. She went with him to the CMT Music Awards in April 2024, and they looked happy together while posing for photos on the red carpet. They tied the knot in 2016, renewed their vows at the same church in Las Vegas, and celebrated their ninth wedding anniversary together in September 2025.

Bunnie hosts a major podcast
With an age difference of 6 years and Gilly being born in 1986, it appears that Bonnie was born in 1992, per A taste of countryside nights. The outlet reported that Bunnie is an “exotic model/host” and “a high school dropout who started her career on YouTube.” I parlayed the success into an even more successful podcast called The stupid blonde podcast.
Of course, her social media footprint isn’t weak either. Bunnie has over a million followers on her Instagram!

Bunnie loves getting to know the most authentic version of the people she brings to her podcasts. In an April 27 Instagram post, in which she relaxed on a beanbag chair wearing a skimpy outfit (seen here), she talked about her interest in exposing people’s layers.
“I love messy beds, I love when people cry and I can’t be honest in that moment. I love the look in people’s eyes when they realize they’re in love,” she wrote.
She concluded by saying, “I love the way people look when they first wake up and forget their surroundings. I love the moments people capture when their favorite character dies. I love when people close their eyes and drift off somewhere in the clouds. I fall in love with honest moments all the time. I fall in love with their meltdowns, smeared makeup, and daydreams. Honesty is so beautiful that it cannot be described in words.”
How did Jelly Roll and Pony XO meet?
Jelly Roll married Bonnie, real name Bonnie Defordin August 2016 after they met for the first time at one of his shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, according to Musical chaos.
“We hit it off,” Jelly Roll said, adding, “She said she fell in love with the saddest eyes in the room.”
The encounter was electric, to say the least, according to the rapper. “I felt her spirit,” he continued. “When I hugged her, it felt so sincere. I could tell it wasn’t an act.”

Gilly was a father of two before his path crossed paths with Bonnie. A previous relationship resulted in a son named Noah Buddy DefordWho was born in 2016, and resulted in a different love story for his daughter Billie Ann Deford It was welcomed in May 2008.

I remember her sitting at our kitchen table and talking to me about the vision she had to start the ‘Dumb Blonde’ podcast, and how it was her way to end working in the sex industry for good. I watched her build her own platform, her own podcast, and her own team without help from me. She wanted to do it on her own — she didn’t want to be just a ‘Jelly Roll Wife’ — she wanted Building her own female empowerment empire and sharing her story in hopes that it will motivate others to believe they can change their lives and be happy.”
He added that she will be on tour with him, and will host her own meeting with fans.

“She was with some abusive jerk, and they came to the show, and we were backstage,” Jelly Roll said about her first meeting with Bunny during an interview with . King, sting and wing clips. “They broke up, and I’m not going to act like I shot my shot. I kind of shot her. We had mutual friends. ‘Oh,'” she said. Just connect me to Jelly.”
