Iran’s top diplomat, Abbas Araghi, said during a phone call with the UN nuclear watchdog on Wednesday (Feb 18, 2026) that Tehran is drawing up a framework to advance future talks with Washington.

In a call with IAEA chief Rafael Grassi, Mr. Araghchi said “the Islamic Republic of Iran is focused on creating an initial and coherent framework to advance future negotiations”, a day after the second round of talks with the United States.
