A Turning Point USA reporter said she was shocked after seeing a sign inside a Hindu temple in North Texas offering blessings for “work visas.”Savannah Hernandez posted on X that she visited the Kariya Siddhi Hanuman Temple in Frisco, a suburb of Dallas-Fort Worth, as part of a video documenting cultural and demographic changes in the region, especially the rise in the Indian population in the state.
She shared a photo of a sign that read: “Seek help for health, work visas, and any other problems.” “I’m still in shock when I walked into an Indian temple in Texas and the first thing I saw was a blessing for work visas,” Hernandez wrote.
In an earlier post onHer documentary TPUSA shows the rapid growth of Indian and Muslim communities in cities like Frisco, Plano, and Irving.
The video features interviews with locals who are concerned about the rapidly changing culture and influx of Indian immigrants, parks converted into cricket pitches, festivals such as Holi, and new religious infrastructure. Hernandez also shows temples with large idols, grocery stores, streets with names belonging to South Asian heritage, and Indian residents dressed in traditional clothing. At the temple, Hernandez demonstrated practices typical of Hindu worship, such as removing shoes and praying to multiple gods.
She described the temple as “very large” and “complicated.”The video was criticized by some users who said Hernandez was reporting from a religious space, while MAGA supporters used her footage to express anti-India and anti-immigrant views. “Texas is being invaded by both Muslims and Indians thanks to the Texas Republican Party. Exploding mosques and now an Indian temple honoring a monkey god,” one wrote on X.Frisco has become a hotspot for discussions about immigration and population changes. City Council meetings were filled with claims of “Indian takeover” and concerns about visa rules that “displace” American workers. Between 2023 and 2025, online hate against Indians in the United States reportedly doubled.
