US President Donald Trump Truth addressed the social video controversy, sharing that she ‘of course’ condemns the video, which is being labeled as racist by many. However, the US leader also made it clear that he was not going to apologize for the now-deleted video depicting Obama as a monkey. He said he ultimately did not watch the clip and his staff made a mistake by posting it on social media.

He insisted that he watched the first part of the video and not the last, which depicts the former president Barack Obama and former first lady Michelle Obama as an ape in a jungle.

“I saw the beginning of it. It was good,” he said, CNN reported. Referring to the first part of the video where voting machine fraud was claimed, he added, “It was a very strong post on voter fraud.”
Trump then explained, “Nobody knew it was the end. If they had looked, they would have seen it, and probably had the sense to take it down,” adding, “someone slipped and missed a very small part.”
Asked if he would apologize for the video, which was posted on his Truth social profile and remained online for nearly 12 hours, he declined. “No,” he said. “I didn’t make a mistake.”

Asked if he condemned the video, he said, “Of course I do.” He later added, “I am, by the way, the least racist president you’ve had in a long time.”
The White House initially dismissed “fake outrage” over the video. However, it was later labeled as an error by a staff member. “A White House staffer made the post by mistake. It has been taken down,” a White House official told AFP.
