Coldplay Kiss Cam scandal exec Christine Cabot says lead singer Chris Martin has not reached out to her: “No.” I never did'

A label executive who went viral after Coldplay’s “kiss on camera” moment has said she is now done with the band, claiming lead singer Chris Martin never contacted her after the incident.Kristen Cabot told TMZ she had no interest in attending another Coldplay concert and would have appreciated some form of communication from the singer after the episode that made her an internet sensation.“It would have been great,” Cabot said when reporter Colin Drummond asked her if she would have welcomed the check-in.“No! I never did that!” She added when asked if Martin had contacted her.The 53-year-old also made it clear that she is done with the band.

“No, I’m totally ready,” she said.Last year, Cabot was seen at a Coldplay concert in what appeared to be a hug with its president, Andy Byron, who was then CEO of the technology company Astronomer. The moment was captured on a stadium kiss cam and quickly went viral after the pair appeared to separate and hide their faces when they realized they were on screen.Capote has since retracted this account. In a recent interview with Oprah, she said that she and Byron were separating from their husbands at the time, and suggested that the situation had been misinterpreted.

She also said that her husband was present at the ceremony.“It would have been better, in the end, if I had just met him,” she said, adding that the experience had a serious impact on her personal life.“For me and my family, what happened was not good,” Cabot said. “I felt that by remaining silent, I somehow accepted what happened.”In a previous interview with the New York Times, she described feeling “extremely embarrassed and terrified.”Despite the backlash, Cabot continued to speak publicly about the incident. She recently appeared in Washington, D.C. at the PRWeek Crisis Comms conference, where she gave a lecture titled “Christine Cabot: Reclaiming the Narrative.”Its former boss Andy Byron has remained out of public view and has not commented since the viral moment.Cabot also criticized a separate astronomy ad featuring Hollywood figures Gwyneth Paltrow and Ryan Reynolds, which made a humorous reference to the incident. She told Oprah she was unhappy with the campaign.
