A six-year-old boy survives a fatal accident
A six-year-old girl miraculously survived a tragic traffic accident that claimed the lives of her father, mother and aunt residing in Dubai after she moved to another vehicle during a short stop just minutes before the accident in Kerala.An Indian man residing in Dubai and his wife were killed in a road accident in Kerala; Daughter survives after changing carAccording to Gulf News, the victims were identified as Shaved Ibrahim (40 years old), an interior designer working in Dubai, his wife Shahina Shaved (32 years old), and her cousin Jehanna Shirin (26 years old).The incident occurred in the early hours of Friday in Malappuram district of Kerala.
The boy’s last-minute movement proved to save his life
According to reports, Chavid was driving his car when his car collided with a truck parked on the side of the road in the Kohinoor area.
It is suspected that heavy rain and poor visibility contributed to the accident.The family was returning home to Thrissur after attending a family function and spending some time at the beach in Kozhikode.Dubai-based businessman and film producer Thomas Thiruvalla said in a social media post that the family stopped for tea about 30 minutes before the accident.During the break, Chavid’s daughter, Sanfa Fatima, moved to a second vehicle carrying her grandmother, uncle and cousins.
When the journey resumed, Shavid, Shahina and Jehana remained in the first car, which later suffered the fatal accident.
Shock and grief in the United Arab Emirates
News of the tragedy spread quickly among the Indian community in the UAE after colleagues and friends shared tributes to Shaved on social media.He described Thomas Chavid, who has been with his company for 13 years, as a dedicated professional and someone who always radiates positivity.“He was more than just an employee. He treated everyone with warmth and respect. It is hard to believe that he is no longer with us,” Thomas told Gulf News.Shavid had traveled to Kerala on May 25 for a month-long vacation coinciding with the Eid holiday, and was scheduled to return to Dubai on June 25.
The funeral was held in Kerala
After the accident, Thomas traveled to Kerala to be with the grieving family. His relatives reportedly delayed the funeral until his arrival.
The victims were later buried in their hometown.Pictures circulated on local media showed the car completely mutilated after the collision.In another recent incident involving an expatriate from Kerala in the UAE, Dubai-based bakery worker Ismail Bonan Ibrahim Kutty (40) was killed in Sharjah after an alleged dispute linked to a TikTok live stream escalated into a violent confrontation.
