An Indian man in the UK discovered that his car did not have air conditioning.
An Indian man living in the UK explained how ill-prepared the country is to deal with a heatwave, and also explained why the temperature in the UK of 33 degrees Celsius is different from 45 degrees in New Delhi.
Sharma also said that he recently discovered that his car does not have an air conditioner and it cannot be installed as there is no space for an air conditioner. He explained that his friends in New Delhi were laughing at him when he told them about their suffering at a temperature of 33 degrees in the United Kingdom, as Delhi’s temperature is more than that, but he explained that the United Kingdom does not have any ceiling fans or air conditioners. He explained that it is like a power outage in New Delhi, and there is no backup.“Let me tell you how unprepared the UK is for this heatwave. So I got this car almost three months ago. So I didn’t use the AC for the first two months and in the last two weeks I thought it’s really hot now and it’s finally time to turn on the AC,” Sharma said while advising UK citizens to check this feature before buying cars.
“I turned on the air conditioning, and it wasn’t cold. And like any other normal person would think, I thought maybe I had a gas leak, and I needed to refill gas, so I booked it in with the mechanic. I dropped my car off, and I went in an hour later, and I asked them if the car was okay, and the guy said, ‘Where do you want me to refill gas?’ There’s no air conditioning in your car.” So I said to myself, ‘What do you mean there’s no air conditioning in the car?’ He was like, ‘Your car was built without air conditioning.’ I said, ‘No, that can’t be true. Even the Maruti 800 in India had air conditioning, man. This is an old car. He opened up Google and showed me that, in the UK, some brands make cars in certain years, and they only have a heater and a fan. Now I’m stuck with this car in this It’s hot, and you can’t even install air conditioning if it doesn’t come with it because there’s no space in the hood, they didn’t give enough space, oh my God,” Sharma said. The Met Office has confirmed that Friday (June 26) is the hottest June day on record in the UK, with a temporary temperature of 37.3°C recorded in Santon Downham, Suffolk, surpassing a high of 36.7°C recorded in Merrifield, Somerset, on Thursday. A yellow extreme heat warning remains in place from midnight until 9pm on Saturday across south-east England and East Anglia. The Met Office said next week would bring a mixed weather picture for the UK, with a mix of cloudy and sunny periods, as well as rain flowing in from the west at times.
