The Pussycat Dolls, known for their hits “Buttons,” “When I Grow Up” and “Don’t Cha,” have confirmed their reunion with the release of a new single and world tour dates in the US and Europe.

Nicole Scherzinger – who, since the Dolls’ last show, has won an Olivier and a Tony Award for her performance in Revival stage Sunset Street – She dropped “Club Song” on Thursday alongside her bandmates Kimberly White and Ashley Roberts. Although there were six in the original Pussycat Dolls, Jessica Sutta, Carmit Bashar, and Melody Thornton will not be joining the reunion.

“Club Song” is the group’s first single since the release of “React” in 2020. It is set to follow with a host of live shows on 53 dates. PCD forever The tour kicks off in California at the beginning of June with special guest Lil’ Kim and Mia joining the North American dates.

The group announced a reunion in 2019 with plans to tour in 2020, but with the coronavirus pandemic spreading and delays, Scherzinger finally confirmed it had been canceled entirely in January 2022 – but not before becoming embroiled in a lawsuit over the launch of the tour.

White told BBC News that the reunion was “an amazing thing to do after 20 years”. “The timing of everything was perfect,” Scherzinger said. “After 20 years, you wonder, ‘Where is everyone?’” “But for us, it was compatible,” she continued. “People are in different places in their lives, and some other people have different commitments and priorities, but this worked for us.”

Roberts even revealed that Scherzinger was the first to reach out about regrouping.
