“I think Ben and I supported each other when we were kids. We were teenagers, and we would come up here to New York on the train or on the bus to audition for things for the Mickey Mouse Club.
“He explained what sets their support system apart from typical family encouragement. “We were the only people who believed in each other. We had families, but they weren’t in the entertainment business. We were the only people who felt like we had a little foot in the door and Damon said, ‘Yes, it’ll work out.'”
