The world of streaming saw a major shift this week as Tectone announced that it will be leaving both YouTube and Twitch. The move comes shortly after he received a week-long ban from YouTube “Excessive swearing.” Due to the suspension, he was unable to upload videos or live stream, which caused him to rethink his future on the platform. Shortly after, he shared a new update on X, confirming that he is now moving to the Rumble as an exclusive streamer.Tecton explained in his announcement that this is not a temporary outage but a big decision. He said “Broadcast on YouTube and Twitch” We will now focus entirely on the Rumble. He also shared that his first stream on the new platform is scheduled to take place on March 28 at 9 a.m. CST.
While he plans to upload censored videos to YouTube, his live content will now be limited to Rumble.
Tectone is moving to Rumble after leaving YouTube and Twitch due to bans
Explaining his decision, Tecton publicly criticized both platforms for their rules. He said, “I will now be an exclusive streamer for Rumble.” He added that it was him “I’m done streaming on platforms that keep me from petty insults.” He also expressed frustration, saying that while language is punished, others are allowed to make serious accusations or disrespect the country they are coming from.
This indicates that he feels that the rules are not being applied fairly.
This isn’t the first time Tectone has faced issues with streaming platforms. In the past, he has also been banned on Twitch, which has built a pattern around his content style. Some fans believe that he often crosses the line, while others support him and believe that the platforms have become too strict.Despite his departure, Tectone has not completely cut ties with YouTube.
He confirmed that censored versions of his videos will still be uploaded there. However, his main focus now will be on building his audience at the Rumble, where he believes he will have more freedom.Right now, all eyes are on how to implement this step. His shift also raises a larger question about how much freedom online content creators should have. When his first Rumble broadcast airs, fans will be watching closely to see if this bold move pays off.
