New Delhi: The long-standing tension between S Sreesanth and Harbhajan Singh has resurfaced once again, and this time it seems to have ended their relationship completely. The two former Team India teammates, who were once involved in the infamous ‘slapgate’ incident in the 2008 Indian Premier League, seem to have moved on over the years. However, recent developments have reopened old wounds, with Sreesanth making it clear that he no longer shares any relationship with Harbhajan and even blocked him on social media.

According to Sreesanth, the issue flared up again after Harbhajan appeared in an advertisement based on the Slapgate controversy. He claims this was very annoying. As quoted by Mathrubhumi, he said, “I have never spoken about Baaji in any interview.
This will be the first time,” he said, before adding: “Until recently, there were no problems, but he made an announcement about it again. He has made around Rs 80 lakh to Rs 1 crore from it. Then he called me and asked me to publish a story about it. I told him: I will forgive, but I will never forget. If someone does you wrong, you should forgive them but never forget them.
If you forget, they will do the same thing again. It is the biggest example of this.
There’s no doubt about that.”
“There is no longer a relationship”
Sreesanth did not hold back as he described how things are now. He said: “I have no relationship with this person. I used to call him a brother. But in the last month or two he published this ad, and now I have blocked him on Instagram,” stressing how serious the repercussions were.Although he said he had forgiven Harbhajan for the past, Sreesanth insisted that he had not forgotten it.He added: “My parents taught me to forgive but never forget. I have no complaints against him, nor do I need him. May God bless him and his family.”However, he also questioned Harbhajan’s public persona, saying, “He may be a great person. But for me, since I have been playing for India till now, it is all just an act. This act is something that Sreesanth cannot accept.”
