Suriya’s fans have been eagerly waiting for updates on ‘Karuppu’ directed by RJ Balaji and starring Trisha Krishnan. In the face of rising speculation, RJ Balaji recently released a video clearing up several rumors surrounding the film’s release.
He confirmed that ‘Karuppu’ will not be released on April 10 as widely reported.
The director also denied claims that he had a disagreement with the producer over the release date, saying such stories are just baseless rumours.

In a video on social media, RJ Balaji began by thanking fans for the love and support they continue to show him. He said he returned to cricket commentary after nearly two years, and was overwhelmed by the warm reception he received.
He also said that a lot of people are asking about ‘Karuppu’ both on social media and in person. “I know that Syria’s fans have been waiting for a long time and they may be a little disappointed,” he said, adding that he completely understands their expectations.
Two years of work behind the film
The director explained that he has been working on ‘Karuppu’ for nearly two years. From the initial stages of production to shooting schedules and post-production work, the team spent a lot of time carefully shaping the film.
Due to this demanding schedule, RJ Balaji stayed away from cricket commentary for some time. However, he recently returned to the commentary box during the T20 World Cup and flew back to Chennai after completing his work during the final.
