Dishani Chakraborty, daughter of veteran actor and politician Mithun Chakraborty, has announced her engagement to Miles Mantzaris. The couple is scheduled to tie the knot on December 6, 2026.

Taking to Instagram, Deshaney shared a series of dreamy photos from the proposal, sending fans into a frenzy.
One photo captured the intimate moment when Miles, a still camera operator and colorist, according to his Instagram bio, got down on one knee.
Another showed the disco dancer star’s daughter proudly showing off her stunning engagement ring, while the final frame showed the two sharing a tender kiss. “06.12.2026…easiest I’ve ever known,” wrote Deshaney, who kept her caption simple but sweet.
About the Deschani family
Dishani is the adopted daughter of Mithun Chakraborty and his wife, actress Yogita Bali. The couple married in 1979. Before Yogita, Mithun was also married to actress Helena Lok in 1979, but the marriage lasted only four months and ended in divorce.
Mithun and Yogita have three sons, Memoh, Ushmi, and Namachi and an adopted daughter, Dishani.
Mithun’s illustrious career
Mithun made his acting debut with the 1976 art drama Mrigayaa, directed by Mrinal Sen, which earned him the National Film Award for Best Actor. He became a household name with the 1982 hit “Disco Dancer” and went on to act in a string of popular films, including “Agneepath”, “Pati Patni Aur Tawaif”, “Gunahon Ka Devta”, “Roti Kee Keemat”, “Trinetra”, “Shatranj”, “Tadipaar”, “Jung”, “Kaalia”, “Daadagiri” and “Guru”. “My Name is Anthony Gonsalves”, “Houseful 2”, “The Tashkent Files”, and “The Kashmir Files”.
Mithun’s latest work
On the work front, Mithun was last seen in Vivek Agnihotri’s The Bengal Files. The film revolves around two dark events in history, Direct Action Day and the Noakhali riots and shows the terrible violence and destruction that followed.
