The temporary closure has been described as a safety step in line with official directives, and aims to protect visitors and staff. The closure also affects Dubai’s historic observation wheel. Ain Dubai, the world’s tallest observation wheel located on Bluewaters Island, will remain closed over the weekend. The attraction has indicated that it will resume operations once authorities determine it is safe to reopen.
