New Delhi: Former Indian cricketer Vinod Kambli made an emotional appearance at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium during Mumbai Indians’ final match of IPL 2026, as videos of him struggling to walk quickly went viral on social media. Kambli, who was once seen as one of India’s brightest batting talents, was seen supported by two as he slowly made his way across the pitch.
Although he appeared physically weak, the 54-year-old appeared cheerful and in good spirits. His public appearance also appears to support previous statements made by his wife Andrea Hewitt, who has denied rumors suggesting his health has deteriorated significantly.Kambli has faced serious health problems in recent years, including problems related to a stroke.
Earlier this month, his friend Marcus Cotto revealed that the former cricketer was suffering from memory problems after being hospitalized nearly 18 months ago.“Since he was admitted to hospital in Thane about 18 months ago, Kambli has suffered a stroke in his brain. After concerns spread online, Kambli’s wife, Andrea, strongly rejected claims that his condition was critical.
“By the grace of God, Vinod is fine.
