KKR vs LSG at Eden Gardens (Screengrab)
Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) will take on Lucknow Super Giants (LSG) in Match 15 of IPL 2026 at Eden Gardens, Kolkata, in what promises to be a crucial clash for both sides, albeit for very different reasons.KKR are still searching for their first win of the season, having lost their opening matches before a game in the rain earned them a point. On the other hand, LSG bounced back by defeating SRH after their opening defeat to DC. This sets up a competition between a team under pressure and one gaining confidence.

Here are the five players who could shape KKR vs LSG’s clash today
Cameron Green – KKR
Cameron Green made headlines in the IPL 2025 mini-auction with a record bid of Rs 25.20 crore, joining Kolkata Knight Riders.
However, he has had a slow start this season, scoring just 24 runs in three innings (18 against MI, 2 against SRH, 4 against PBKS) while batting at number three and four. Initially playing as a specialist batsman due to a lower back injury, Green has now received the nod from Cricket Australia to resume bowling, which could add crucial balance to KKR’s line-up against LSG.
Muhammad Al-Shami – LSG
Mohammed Shami, who was acquired by Lucknow Super Giants for Rs 10 crore, was in fine form.
On his debut for LSG, he dismissed KL Rahul for a golden duck on the first ball, becoming the only player in IPL history to take a wicket on the opening delivery of the innings five times. He followed it up with a sensational spell of 2/9 against Sunrisers Hyderabad, including 18 dot balls. Familiar with Eden Gardens from his days in domestic cricket, Shami could pose a major threat to KKR’s top order.
Rishabh Pant – LSG
After a difficult 2025 season, where he averaged 24.45, Rishabh Pant has started IPL 2026 on a strong note.
Promoted to No. 3, the LSG skipper played a knock-winning knock of 68* off 50 balls against Sunrisers Hyderabad, guiding his side to victory. His form and leadership will be crucial against KKR.
Blessing Al Muzarabani – KKR
Zimbabwean pacer Blessing Muzarabane made an immediate impact for KKR, including a four-wicket haul against Sunrisers Hyderabad. He joined the franchise after an impressive campaign in the 2026 T20 World Cup, where he took 13 wickets in six matches.
His speed and rebound could play a key role in Eden Gardens.
Angkrish Raghuvanshi – KKR
Angkrish Raghuvanshi has emerged as a versatile asset for KKR this season, even taking over wicket-keeping duties to improve the team’s balance. Batting in the top order, he has already impressed with successive fifties in the opening matches. Playing at home in Kolkata, he could be a key contributor against LSG.
