Health Minister Ma. Subramanian on Wednesday inaugurated Revivo Clinic for Obesity and Diabetes in Alwarpet, a specialised metabolic health facility aimed at addressing obesity, Type 2 diabetes, and related metabolic conditions.

The centre aims to focus on treating the underlying drivers of metabolic disorders, including visceral fat accumulation, insulin resistance, and muscle health, rather than limiting care to blood sugar control alone. The clinic integrates diagnostics, medical supervision, and lifestyle-based interventions such as structured strength training, nutrition guidance, sleep management, and behavioural support.

Arvind Ashok, co-founder of Revivo, said the clinic seeks to bridge the gap between conventional hospital-based medical care and fitness-driven lifestyle interventions by providing integrated treatment under one system. Arun Raghavan, co-founder, said obesity and diabetes require a combination of clinical expertise and sustained lifestyle changes.
