Nida Khan, the accused in the alleged sexual harassment and religious conversion case linked to A The Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) BPO unit has been ramped up in Nashik.

Police officials say Khan is on the run while her family insists that she is in Mumbai at a relative’s house and not in hiding.
Where is Nida Khan?
The exact location of Nidaa Khan remains unclear amid the ongoing investigation. The police said she was on the run and were trying to track her movements through technical surveillance and field operations. Three independent teams were deployed to locate it, according to a police statement.
“During the investigation “Nida Khan’s husband has been detained under the jurisdiction of Mumbai Police Station for questioning,” the statement said.
“It was also observed that the mobile phones of both the accused and her relatives were switched off. The search for the accused Nida Khan is currently ongoing,” the statement read.
Police said her husband told them she was staying at a relative’s house, but when officers arrived, the house was locked.
But her family says she has been living in Mumbai with her husband since January 2026 and is not on the run. She was working in the company’s business process outsourcing unit in Malad until she was suspended earlier this month on April 9, her uncle said.

Nida Khan’s role in TCS
TCS said Nida Khan did not hold any management or human resources role.
“While detailed reviews are still ongoing, an initial review of systems and records from the Nashik unit indicates that we have not received any complaints of the kind alleged about our ethics or POSH channels,” said CEO and Managing Director Krithivasan.
The company added that Khan, “who is repeatedly mentioned in the press as director of human resources at TCS, is neither a director of human resources nor responsible for recruitment. She worked as an operations assistant and did not have any leadership responsibilities,” the company added.
TCS said it has launched an internal investigation led by President and Chief Operating Officer Aarthi Subramanian, with oversight and support from Deloitte and law firm Trilegal.

The case began when an employee filed a complaint alleging that she was misled into entering into a relationship based on a false promise of marriage. This led to an investigation into workplace behaviour Nashik unit.
