Inspired by childhood nostalgia, Oggy and the Cockroaches, the new collection dissects and openly questions the politics of the original parody party. The ongoing virtual spat has captured the Internet’s imagination, creating a highly polarizing and polarizing wave of commentary across social media platforms.

#1: Accusation of political connections:

In an Instagram post, the Oggy Janata Party (OJP) highlighted Abhijit Debaki’s connection with the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP). Debke volunteers with the political party as part of the campaign and social media team.

The group highlighted a post by Dibek in 2024, in which he mentioned former Delhi Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia and thanked him.

“I am truly grateful for all the opportunities you have given me while working with you. I left for Boston with your guidance as my compass. No distance will dilute my commitment to AAP,” the Cockroach Janta Party founder tweeted.

According to its official website, the OJP is there to “kill all kinds of cockroaches”. He further adds: “Any cockroach. Any size. Any type. Dead.”

#3: OJP questions CJP’s agenda:

OJP shared a montage depicting photos of Indian freedom fighters with text saying: “The land shaped by the sharpness of swords witnesses its youth taking pride in calling themselves ‘cockroaches’. It is truly a symptom of ‘peak unemployment’!”

No. 4: OJP Party Statement:

“We believe that a compassionate India is a strong India. Our animal rights manifesto promises free health care for every stray, strict cruelty laws, more shelters, daily feeding missions and adoption awareness campaigns in every city. Because every life matters and we mean it,” the group wrote in an Instagram post. She shared a poster of the 6-point statement.

In an Instagram post, OJP called for justice in the NEET paper leak incident. A video shared on the social media platform shows the OJP mascot and a text insert that says: “Students deserve justice.”
