The theme of the AIMA India Management Award 2026 was “Transforming for Tomorrow: Growth with Resilience”.

Jain was honored in recognition of his transformational leadership in expanding The Times Group into India’s largest diversified multimedia organization.

Under Jain’s leadership, non-print media brands like Times Now, ET Now and Zoom have strengthened the group’s television presence even as their digital avatars break new ground, while Radio Mirchi, Gaana, Times OOH, Times Music and Magicbricks have emerged as the largest entities in India in their respective categories.

The Times Group’s legacy magazines such as Femina and Filmfare have gone from strength to strength even as the group ventures into both higher education and sports through the National Pickleball League.

The citation also noted the group’s foray into education through Bennett University and the EdTech TimesPro platform, reflecting Vineet Jain’s vision of integrating knowledge and enterprise.

Highlighting how Jain has revitalized and modernized the group’s print foundations and strategically expanded into emerging media technologies and markets across 35 countries since the late 1980s, AIMA said he has not only grown a newspaper business, he has built a multi-faceted media empire that dominates information and entertainment in India and shapes the political and business consciousness of the nation.

“From television and radio to online, film, music, sports, events, outdoor advertising, education and investments, his leadership has created impactful brands across every platform,” she added.
