Two friends who were returning home after watching an Indian Premier League match died in a tragic road accident in the national capital after their motorcycle was hit by a speeding car, police said.

The incident took place in Khajuri Khas area of northeast Delhi late at night.
According to preliminary information, the victims were riding a bicycle when they were hit by a speeding car shortly after they got off the bridge.
Officials said that the force of the collision was severe, resulting in the death of both passengers on the spot.
The deceased have been identified as Himat Tiwari and Rohit alias Sonu.
After receiving information about the incident, the police arrived at the scene, and the bodies were transferred for autopsy.
This matter is being investigated further.
Meanwhile, in a separate incident on April 28, two people died in a road accident on Ashok Road in Delhi. The two were cousins and had returned home after watching an Indian Premier League match.
At around 10:30 pm, younger brother Abhav was talking to his father and telling him that they would reach home in half an hour; However, the entire tragedy occurred precisely while he was communicating with his father on the phone, which claimed the lives of the two brothers.
Currently, the police are actively investigating the matter and examining footage from all CCTV cameras installed in the vicinity of the accident site.
According to police sources, “Initial investigations indicate that this case appears to be a hit-and-run incident. Two persons were lying on the road unconscious and were taken to the hospital, where they were declared brought dead. The area crime team was called and forensic examination was conducted at the spot. The bodies were shifted to RML mortuary.
