Jharkhand Chief Minister The Trinamool Congress (TMC) has claimed that Hemant Soren and his wife were denied permission to land their helicopter in West Bengal’s Jhargram on Sunday due to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s unscheduled stop at Jalmuri.

Sunday, Modi stopped at a roadside stall in Jhargram during his election campaign. “Jhalmuri Break in Jhargram” posted on X with a video.

In the video, he was seen asking the vendor for a snack, saying: “Bhai, hame apna Jhalmuri khilao,” before asking the price and paying with a card. $10 note. A crowd of people gathered at the place, raising slogans like “Jai Shri Ram”, “Narendra Modi Zindabad” and “Bharat Mata Ki Jai”.

In another post, Modi said he stopped to eat a “delicious jhalmori” between four rallies in West Bengal.

“He came to Jhargram to attract Adivasi vote,” the TMC said in its post later on Sunday. The party claimed that the Prime Minister’s “Adivasi-Birudi mentality” has been exposed.

“Bengals saw it. Bengals will remember it on May 4th.”

Bengal will go to the polls in two phases on April 23 and April 29. The results will be announced on May 4.
