The Indian Institute of Mass Communication Alumni Association on Tuesday announced the winners of the 10th IIMCAA Awards during the inaugural event of the 14th Annual Communications Meet held in Delhi.

The meeting was attended by several prominent figures, including IIMCAA president Sushil Singh, IIMCAA secretary general Atul Gupta, its former presidents Kalyan Ranjan, Simrat Gulati, Prasad Sanyal and souvenirs editor Santosh Oraon, who jointly released a commemorative book.
The awards celebrated outstanding achievements in the fields of journalism, advertising, public relations and public service, bringing together distinguished alumni, media professionals and dignitaries from across India and abroad.
At the jury awards ceremony, Soumya Pillai won the prestigious Best Journalist award. Other winners include Lakshmi Devi Airey for Agricultural Reporter of the Year; Safina Wani for print reports; Medha Yadav for radio reporting; Muhammad Asad for producer; Sourav Kumar Bora for print reports in Indian languages; Alpesh Arvind Karkare for radio reports in Hindi languages; Freelance Journalist Asif Download (digital video); Hasleen Kaur for Ad Person; And Panchanan Mishra for PR Personality of the Year.
The jury also presented special mention awards to Gargi Satapathy, Nantha Kishore JK and Garima Singh. The winners received cash prizes ranging from $10,000 to $1.5 million with cups and certificates.
In the Committee Awards category, actor Chandan Roy and journalist Abhinav Pandey were honored as Alumni of the Year. Lifetime Achievement Awards were presented to Milan Vohra, Lipika Sood, Pradeep Kumar Mallick, Dr. Sangeeta Thakur and Mitali Mohanty Ghosh.
The Public Service Award recognized the contributions of Suresh Kumar Vashishth, IAS; Virendra Mishra, IPS; Kapil Sharma; Kumar Abhishek, CAPF; Prerna Prasad and Ankita Sahu. Other awards included: Anand Kumar Dutta and Madhav Sharma for alumni outreach; Maharashtra and Bihar disconnection; And Samosa Concert for IIMC Vicharaks for Best Delivery Group of the Year.
Under the IIMCAA Pillars category, awards were presented to Ramesh Muniyappa, Manoj Kumar, Prasad Sanyal, Arvind Kumar and Isrila Dalidya Vanai (posthumous).
MC Joshi was felicitated for completing 50 years since graduation, while 74 graduates received Silver Jubilee Awards.

According to a press release, Chapter-level Connections Meets will also be organized in several cities in India and abroad in the next two-three months.
