The Madhya Pradesh government has raised dearness allowance for state government employees by 3 per cent. With this increase, the allocation rises to 58% on April salaries, which will be paid in May 2026.

The announcement was made by Chief Minister Mohan Yadav on his official handle X on Monday, March 2.

According to the announcement, state government employees will get 58 per cent of their salaries paid in May 2026. The arrears will be paid from July 2025 to March 2026 in 6 equal instalments, starting from May 2026.

Besides active employees, retirees will also get 58% DA on their pensions from January to February 2026.

The state minister also added: “Today, during the day, during the era of Kisan Kalyan Varsh, many important decisions were taken in the Cabinet meeting in Barwani. In the evening, a decision was taken for the welfare of all the employee and pensioner brothers. Congratulations to everyone on Holi.”

Last week, the Maharashtra government also increased the dearness allowance for state government employees. The DA rate was raised by 3 percent, to 58 percent. This will come into effect from July 2025. The arrears for the period from July 2025 to October 2025 will be disbursed in March 2026 on the occasion of Guddi Padwa, while orders relating to arrears for the period from November 2025 to January 2026 will be issued separately.
