There will be no change in the number of districts, revenue divisions and mandals in the state and the reorganization of the districts will take place only after 2029, Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy announced on Monday.

Addressing a public gathering at Piperi in Adilabad district, after laying the foundation stones of several development projects, the Prime Minister said that the Center had directed the state not to change district boundaries till 2029.
“The state government will revisit the issue in line with the aspirations of the people once the restrictions are lifted in 2029,” he said.
The Prime Minister said that his government is committed to ensuring balanced development in all constituencies, regardless of political affiliations. “The Congress government does not treat opposition legislators as enemies, and development and prosperity will reach every segment of society,” he said.
Revanth Reddy said the government is allocating funds to all Assembly constituencies, including those where the Congress is not, and noted that Opposition legislators have also been invited to development programmes.
He added that even though the Congress does not have a PIL in some constituencies, the government is still imposing sanctions on Young India Integrated Schools and other development projects, saying people should not suffer due to political differences.
The Prime Minister listed several welfare measures implemented by the government, including free travel for women in state-run buses, 200 units of free electricity for the poor, distribution of good quality rice through ration cards, Indirama housing scheme for the poor and support to women self-help groups and solar energy initiatives.
Revanth Reddy said that the government is trying to steer youth away from drug abuse and encourage them to exercise and participate productively.
Revanth Reddy said the government has already received approval to set up an airport for Adilabad after discussions with the Centre, and he hoped to lay the foundation stone by June 2, if possible.
He said that the land acquisition process was progressing for industrial development and the proposed university, and that the government would soon hold the university’s founding ceremony.
Earlier in the day, the Prime Minister laid the foundation stone for the development of the ancient Basara Jnana Saraswati temple complex in Basar at a cost $225 Crores. The temple, the only Saraswati temple in South India located on the banks of the Godavari River, is known as Dakshi Kasi.
As part of the development, the government will undertake the construction of a ‘Rajagopuram’ (main tower), a sacred pond, a strengthened north gate and meditation halls, an official statement said. All these new structures have been designed with strict adherence to traditional rituals.
“The abode of Goddess Ganana Saraswati witnesses an influx of visitors every year to perform Aksharabhyasam (traditional initiation ceremony into formal education of their children) for their children on the occasion of Vasantha Panchami,” the statement read.
She said the government consulted the spiritual heads of Sringeri Peethadhipatis before formulating the master plan and obtained their approval for the construction of Sanctum Sanctorum (Garbhalayam), Artha Mandapam, Raja Gopuram (Main Tower) and other towers.
