Prohibitory orders under Section 163 of the Bharatiya Nagarik Suraksha Sanhita (BNSS) have been imposed across Gurugram to regulate movement around examination centers to ensure smooth conduct of National Eligibility Test with Retake of Entrance Examination for Undergraduates (NEET-UG) at 18 centers across Gurugram, Deputy Commissioner Uttam Singh said on Saturday.

About 6,800 candidates are scheduled to appear for the re-examination. Under Article 163, assembly is prohibited within a 200-metre radius of examination centres. Gurugram Police will also deploy 380 security personnel at 18 stations.
“Out of the total deployment, 200 personnel will be stationed at examination centers across the city for security and law and order duties, while 180 personnel will be appointed for traffic management,” Gurugram Police Public Relations Officer Sandeep Turan said.
The order also prohibits carrying weapons, parking cars, using loudspeakers, and operating Wi-Fi or any electronic devices in the restricted area. In addition, photo shops and coaching centers located within 500 meters of the centers have been directed to remain closed on the exam day.

To prevent cheating and ensure the integrity of the examination process, the authorities have deployed mobile jammers, installed CCTV surveillance systems and arranged biometric verification facilities at all examination centres, officers said.
The officers said that a two-tier inspection system has been put in place at all examination centers to enhance security measures and prevent the entry of unauthorized materials.
Turan added that police knights were deployed in each examination center to conduct continuous patrols during the examination period. He added that Emergency Response Vehicles (ERVs) will also be deployed at key intersections and strategic locations to assist candidates and respond to any emergency.
In Faridabad, at least 6,460 candidates are expected to appear for NEET-UG re-examination at 19 examination centres. Deputy Commissioner Aayush Sinha said prohibitory orders under Section 163 have been imposed around all examination centers to ensure smooth conduct of the examination.
