Janshakti Janta Dal founder Tej Pratap Yadav on Tuesday publicly endorsed Congress leader Priyanka Gandhi as the face of the All India Alliance, while simultaneously launching an attack on her brother and opposition leader Rahul Gandhi.

Speaking in Patna, the Janshakti leader said that only Priyanka Gandhi can lead the Indian alliance, and compared her with Indira Gandhi. He quipped that Rahul Gandhi would not be able to run the bloc.
“Only Priyanka Gandhi can operate it; she is like Indira Gandhi. Rahul Gandhi se chalne wala nhi hai (Rahul Gandhi cannot operate it) By riding the yatra, sitting on a bullet, Nitish Kumar ji leaving, or someone else becoming PM, what is his motive?” He said.
Yadav’s remarks came in response to Rahul Gandhi’s claim that Nitish Kumar was being “compromised” after the Janata Dal (United) president’s recent exit from state politics.
“Rahul Gandhi is talking about Nitish Kumar now – Kumar has left office, someone else has now become the Prime Minister. He (Gandhi) is in another state, so why should he be greedy about the Bihar seat?”
This is not the first time that the Congress leader has received comments questioning his ability to manage the alliance.
In January this year, former Congress leader Shakeel Ahmed alleged that there was no “internal democracy” in the Congress and that Rahul Gandhi wanted to “topple” the party’s top leadership, ANI reported.
“There are many leaders in Congress who were politicians long before Rahul Gandhi became one. The day Rahul Gandhi won his first election, I won my fifth election. I think he is not comfortable sitting with those who do not consider him their president. I have felt that for a long time, but when you stay in the party you don’t say such things,” Ahmed said. that I.
Congress leader Udit Raj called him “immature” and suggested that Yadav focus on his work instead of just gossiping. He added, “No one takes him seriously…”
