Spiritual leader Jagadguru Rambhadracharya on Friday claimed that if Operation Sindoor continues for two more days, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir will be merged with India.

Rambhadracharya was speaking at the Shriram Katha in Lucknow, which was attended by Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, the BJP’s city unit said in a statement.

Rambhadracharya, founder and president of Tulsi Peeth at Chitrakoot, is a renowned Hindu spiritual leader, teacher and writer of more than 100 books.

“During the tenure of Defense Minister Rajnath Singh, nine terrorist hideouts in Pakistan were destroyed under Operation Sindoor. If this operation had continued for two more days, Pakistan-occupied Kashmir would have been integrated into India,” he said in his speech.

India launched Operation Sindoor, a military exercise to destroy terror infrastructure in Pakistan in May 2025, in response to the Pahalgam terror attack, which claimed 26 lives in April that year.

Rambhadracharya said that when Indian Army Chief General Upendra Dwivedi expressed his desire to perform ‘Guru Dakshina’ (traditional offering to the Guru) at the time of ‘Deeksha’, he said that he wanted PoK to return to India, the statement said.

Pointing towards the Defense Minister, Rambhadracharya said: “You are a Kshatriya, and the responsibility of defending the nation lies with you.”

He said Prime Minister Narendra Modi will form a government again in 2029 and Rajnath Singh will again serve as Defense Minister.

He also demanded that Jagadguru Rambhadracharya Divyang State University be given Central University status and Ramcharitmanas be declared a national holy book.

“Ram is a symbol of the nation’s well-being,” he said.

In his speech, Rajnath Singh said that he has known Jagadguru Rambhadracharya for the past three decades.

Singh said he had never witnessed such amazing memory and extraordinary talent anywhere else in the world.
