Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his Italian counterpart Giorgia Meloni met again on Tuesday at the G7 summit in France, after the two leaders met in May where Modi gifted Meloni a batch of Melody candy. Follow the G7 Summit live here

A video clip from the event shows the two leaders interacting briefly. Melonie was heard telling Moody: “Nice to see you again.” Modi seemed to mumble something in response. Then the translator accompanying Prime Minister Modi mentioned “Instagram”, which elicited a warm reaction from Meloni. It was not immediately clear in what context the two leaders were discussing the social media platform.
The phrase “Melody” came after the Italian Prime Minister posted a video clip of them with the caption: “Hello from Team Melody, it’s 2024.

The Instagram comment is likely a reference to what Meloni posted on May 20 during Modi’s visit to Rome, where she… He handed her a box of Melody candy.
