PK Mishra, Principal Secretary to the Prime Minister, joined officials and staff of the Prime Minister’s Office for a yoga session on Sunday.

A yoga session was held at Siva Tirth today in the national capital on the occasion of International Yoga Day. Officers and staff of the Prime Minister’s Office, the Cabinet Secretariat and the National Security Council Secretariat joined the session.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also shared photos of the yoga session at Seva Teerth and wrote: “Today, on Yoga Day, a yoga session was held at Seva Teerth, in which officials from the Prime Minister’s Office, Cabinet Secretariat and NSCS participated.”

Prime Minister Modi participated in a Yoga Day event at Red Road in Kolkata this morning, where he performed yoga poses alongside thousands of people.

In X’s post, the Prime Minister emphasized that the participation of people from all backgrounds underscores the importance of yoga in daily life.

“An extraordinary Yoga Day program was held at Red Road in Kolkata this morning, in which people from all walks of life participated, giving an important message about the vitality of yoga in everyone’s life. This time, the theme was ‘Yoga for Healthy Aging’ which emphasized the importance of yoga at all ages to stay fit and healthy,” PM Modi said on X.

Yoga Day events were held across the country, with chief ministers, students, NCC students and citizens participating in large numbers. Union ministers, NDA leaders and celebrities also joined the yoga sessions.

In Delhi, actor Akshay Kumar joined Union Minister for Youth Affairs and Sports Mansukh Mandaviya in celebrating International Yoga Day. The event was attended by over 3,000 participants, where Akshay actively performed yoga along with Mandaviya and other attendees.
