India lashed out at Pakistan in its latest statement at the UN Security Council meeting on Monday regarding the country’s designation of some groups as “Hindustan Sedition”.

India’s Permanent Representative to the United Nations, Ambassador Harish Parvathanini, gave a strong response to the move and condemned the directions given to Pakistani government agencies to refer to some groups in the name of Hindustan Sedition.
The Indian actor said this reflects how Pakistan dresses “misinformation and disinformation” in religious terms.
“It is the result of an organized factory of hatred coming from the deep state of Pakistan, which aims to keep its citizens in a state of permanent hostility with India in order to perpetuate their stay in power, control national resources and distract them from basic political and economic problems,” Parvathanini said.
In 2025, the Pakistani government officially designated all terrorist groups and organizations operating in Balochistan province as “Hindustan Sedition”.
However, the Indian representative on Monday rejected the move, calling it “nothing but official-sponsored misinformation and disinformation dressed in religious terminology.”
“An actual coup by the army”
Expanding on Pakistan’s criticism over the designation of some groups, the Indian representative also referred to a “virtual coup” by the military in the country. According to a PTI report, Parvathanini was referring to the appointment of Asim Munir as Pakistan’s first Chief of Defense Forces (CDF) for a five-year term last year.
Mounir’s appointment came after the adoption of the 27th Constitutional Amendment, which created the position of the Civil Defense Force to ensure unity of command and speed up decision-making during critical situations.

Meanwhile, in the recent UN Security Council meeting, India also criticized Pakistan over its military airstrikes campaign against Afghanistan, adding that it had caused many civilian casualties. “Let me repeat. Presenting a massacre as a military operation does not absolve its perpetrator. Killing, maiming and orphaning civilians is not combating terrorism,” Parvathanini said.
He also said that it is an old custom of Pakistan to blame neighbors for its failures, adding that such attempts will not succeed.
