The facility, spread over 40 acres, has been constructed by Epic Group.

In his address to the audience, Swain said that the company’s investments reflect the growing global confidence in the state’s industrial growth story.

“Today Odisha is not only attracting investments, we are building destinations where industries can grow, thrive and create lasting impact. Khurda, especially emerging locations like Kalipiti, is witnessing a new phase of industrial growth,” he said.

He added that the facility has the potential to create employment opportunities for about 7,050 people, making it a major contributor to the textile and apparel sector in the state.

“Nearly 90 percent of the workforce in this unit are women. This is a remarkable achievement and a strong step towards women-led development,” Swain added.

“We believe that industrial progress and environmental responsibility go hand in hand,” said Ranjan Mahtani, Founder and Chairman of Epic Group. “The Trimetro Manufacturing Park embodies this belief and is a model of how manufacturing can grow sustainably while contributing to the well-being of people and the planet.”

The complex, designed to be one of the most future-proof apparel manufacturing facilities in India, will produce 20 million garments annually for global markets, the company said in a statement.

“Backed by an investment of US$ 100 million, Trimetro Campus is India’s first fully carbon-neutral and net-water apparel manufacturing facility,” the company said.

She said the project was partially supported by the International Finance Corporation through a $100 million debt financing package provided in 2024, which included a sustainability-linked loan and a green loan with sustainability-linked features.
